Job summary

Kighthomecenter in Stockbridge, Georgia is looking for an energetic Dispatcher to manage delivery schedules and coordinate with drivers and customers. You will play a critical role in ensuring efficient deliveries, maintaining safety standards according to DOT regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous driving and/or dispatching experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations is essential.
• Strong communication and time management skills are required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Customer service skills to enhance relationships with clients.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being active as this is not a desk job.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate deliveries with stores and customers.
• Assign tasks to drivers and ensure timely deliveries.
• Work with the lumberyard to build loads correctly.
• Communicate any changes in delivery schedules.
• Maintain delivery equipment according to DOT regulations.
• Complete and maintain drivers' logs as per DOT requirements.
• Utilize dispatch management system to improve efficiency.

Description

As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate deliveries with other stores as well as customers. This includes giving drivers their assignments and ensuring that all deliveries are made on time. This also includes working closely with the lumberyard team to ensure loads are built correctly. Any changes in the delivery schedule will be communicated by you. Ensuring delivery equipment is safe and maintained according to DOT regulations and ensuring drivers’ logs are completed and maintained according to DOT regulations will be part of your role. To improve delivery efficiency, you will utilize our delivery dispatch management system.

Requirements

• Previous driving and/or dispatching experience
• Knowledge of DOT regulations
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Customer service skills to cultivate relationships
• Ability to multitask while remaining organized
• This is not a desk job, so must enjoy being active
