Baltimore Tank Lines, Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate and dispatch vehicles and drivers, ensuring timely service and high customer satisfaction. The role requires strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and TMW (Trimble) dispatch software.

Training is available for candidates with base computer skills and a willingness to learn. The dispatcher will work with drivers, customers, and management to maintain efficient routes, ensure safety, and uphold company

• Experience in transportation/dispatch preferred but not required
• Willing to learn and grow with the company
• Strong computer and communication skills required

Job DescriptionThe Dispatcher is responsible for the coordination and dispatch of the assigned route. This position will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of vehicles and drivers to meet customer demand while maintaining high customer service standards. Baltimore Tank Lines is looking for candidates with a good work ethic and a willingness to learn to help with our growth to help with coverage on all shifts. Need to be proficient with computers specifically, excel, word, and outlook. Experience with TMW (Trimble) dispatch software is a plus. BTL is willing to train individuals with little or no experience if they have the base computer skills and a desire to learn. Previous experience in Transportaion industry is a must, but tanker experience is not required. This position comes with weekend and off hoursEssential DutiesCommunicate effectively with customers, drivers, dispatchers, and management.Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.Work closely with managers, dispatchers, and other employees to ensure efficient operation of the company.Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Job FunctionsDispatching - Dispatching is a key function of this position. The Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are properly dispatched and assigned to routes to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.Customer Service - Customer Service is a key function of this position. The Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive a high level of service while on the phone or in person.Driver Operations - Driver Operations is a key function of this position. The Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring that drivers are properly assigned to routes and that they comply with company policies and standards.Safety - Safety is a key function of this position.
