Job summary

Glass Doctor Auto of Castle Rock is seeking a Dispatcher in Elkhart, Indiana to coordinate scheduling and customer service for residential and commercial glass projects. You will help clients during emergencies, ensure smooth project flow, and support the team with training, tools, and processes to succeed.

You will manage manpower, routes, invoices, and reports, while maintaining a focus on accuracy, communication, and exceptional customer care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in auto or glass industry a plus.
• Must be able to multi-task with strong time management.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate and proficient with standard business software.

Responsibilities

• Schedule manpower assignments and ensure Emergency Service program execution.
• Maintain logs of equipment and tools, including inventories and inspections.
• Ensure invoices, route sheets, time cards, and reports are completed timely.
• Administer the company vehicle program including maintenance and fuel.

Your Responsibilities As a Dispatcher

• Schedule manpower assignments and ensure Emergency Service program is executed.
• Maintain a log of company equipment and tools, including periodic physical inventories and inspections.
• Ensure that invoices, route sheets, time cards, daily and weekly reports are completed and turned in by all team members timely and accurately.
• Administer the company vehicle program including maintenance, repair, fuel, and service stock.
• Promptly responds to email requests to secure the opportunity.

Job Requirements

• Prior experience in the auto and/or flat glass industry is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of the basic tools of the trade.
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applications.
• Must be insurable with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time.
• Outstanding phone skills.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

This Job Is NOT For You If . .

• You are okay with measurements being “close enough”. That won’t work here. Measurements need to be super accurate to a fraction of an inch so that the glass will fit the first time.
• You say things in your head like “A broken window – what’s the big deal?” To our customers, when glass breaks, it’s an emergency and safety issue. We take it as seriously as they do.
• You think working Monday mornings is optional. But our customers depend on us to show up as scheduled. Calling off work at the last-minute impacts not just the customer but the whole team.

The pay range for this position is depending on your level of experience as a Dispatcher.
