Job summary

Glass Doctor in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Dispatcher to support both residential and commercial customers in times of need. You will coordinate schedules and ensure field teams have what they need to keep homes and businesses safe and looking great.

You’ll be relied on for accurate communication, attention to detail, and timely documentation—from time cards and invoices to route sheets and reports. A valid driver’s license is required and prior auto/glass exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum required customer service experience; ability to manage multiple tasks and schedules.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers and team members.
• Proficiency with general computer software and spreadsheet programs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule manpower assignments and ensure Emergency Service program is executed.
• Maintain a log of company equipment and tools, including inventories and inspections.
• Ensure invoices, route sheets, time cards, and daily/weekly reports are completed on time.
• Administer the company vehicle program including maintenance, fuel, and stock.
• Promptly respond to email requests to secure opportunities.

Your Responsibilities as a Dispatcher

As a Glass Doctor Dispatcher, you are a vital part of our team. You will be the person that provides top-notch customer service while showing off your solid customer service skills.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Schedule manpower assignments and ensure Emergency Service program is executed.
• Maintain a log of company equipment and tools, including periodic physical inventories and inspections.
• Ensure that invoices, route sheets, time cards, daily and weekly reports are completed and turned in by all team members timely and accurately.
• Administer the company vehicle program including maintenance, repair, fuel, and service stock.
• Promptly respond to email requests to secure the opportunity.

Job Requirements

The following are the minimum requirements to be considered for the Dispatcher position at Glass Doctor:

• Prior experience in the auto and/or flat glass industry is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of the basic tools of the trade.
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of work processing, business software and spreadsheet applications
• Must be insurable with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.
• Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time.
• Outstanding phone skills.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

This Job Is NOT For You If . . .

• You are okay with measurements being “close enough”. That won’t work here. Measurements need to be super accurate to a fraction of an inch so that the glass will fit the first time.
• You say things in your head like “A broken window – what’s the big deal?” To our customers, when glass breaks, it’s an emergency and safety issue. We take it as seriously as they do.
• You think working Monday mornings is optional. But our customers depend on us to show up as scheduled. Calling off work at the last-minute impacts not just the customer but the whole team.

The pay range for this position is depending on your level of experience as a Dispatcher.
