Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to efficiently assign service calls and coordinate technicians’ daily routes in a fast-paced environment. You will communicate appointment details and ensure professional customer service, acting as the liaison between customers and technicians.

Responsibilities include workload distribution, follow-up coordination, learning dispatch systems, and providing backup support when the Branch Manager is absent. On-call rotation may be required.

Job description

• Dispatch service calls and assign jobs to technicians efficiently and timely


• Coordinate and manage technicians' daily schedules and routes


• Communicate appointment details and updates with customers


• Deliver professional and courteous customer service


• Communicate service needs between customers and technicians


• Distribute workload to maximize productivity and maintain team fairness


• Track and coordinate follow-ups for jobs requiring return visits


• Learn and use the company’s dispatch and business systems


• Maintain positive working relationships with technicians and administrative staff


• Provide backup support when the Branch Manager is absent


• Participate in a rotational on-call schedule as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required


• Minimum of 3 years of dispatching experience


• Prior HVAC and/or food service industry experience preferred


• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently


• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills


• Proficient in computer systems and dispatch software


• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment


• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to follow through on tasks


• Willingness to participate in a rotational on-call schedule


• Experience with third-party service platforms such as EcoTrack, Corrigo, or Vixxo is a plus
