Job summary

Keolis North America Inc. is seeking a dispatcher in Austin, TX to organize and assign operator resources, monitor trips, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced transit environment. You will coordinate with operations, safety and maintenance to minimize disruptions and ensure on-time performance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in radio/window dispatch, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently across a 24/7 schedule. CDL-B preferred and a valid license are advantageous.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years radio and/or window dispatch experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Transit environment experience preferred.
• Work independently and objectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a diverse environment.
• Must have a valid driver license. CDL Class B preferred.
• Ability to handle stress, including emergency situations.
• Uses good judgment in making decisions in emergency and routine situations.
• Email and Internet; Microsoft Office Applications Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assign work, vehicles and onboard equipment to operators and maintain check-out logs.
• Assign operators in the event of operator absences, increased service volumes to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate logs for attendance and provide information on customers, cancellations, and directions.
• Monitor operators and trip status, adjust reassignments to ensure on-time performance.
• Provide assistance to operators in emergencies or vehicle malfunctions, coordinating with operations, safety and maintenance.
• Reconcile trip manifests by operators and document logs of daily events related to service.

Knowledge and Experience

• Will assist drivers with informational material as needed
• Report to managers any drivers failing to meet duty obligation
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Statements

Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug
and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must
pass a physical examination.
