Job summary

Princess Cruises and Holland America Line in Anchorage seeks a Dispatcher to join our Logistics team for the seasonal full-time schedule. Responsibilities include coordinating driver assignments, schedules, and interdepartmental communications to ensure smooth guest transport and operations.

The role requires proficiency with scheduling software, a background in dispatch or motorcoach driving, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in computer business applications and scheduling systems.
• Three years of experience in motorcoach driver roles preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of scheduling and dispatch tasks.
• Routinely assists with setting schedules, monitoring passenger flows, assigning drivers, and coordinating arrangements with other departments.
• Answers calls from employees and management to respond to scheduling queries.

Requirements

• Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized scheduling systems.
• Three years of experience in positions involving motorcoach driver preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States. Holland America-Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status).

• Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
