Job summary

Leesel Transportation, a Beacon Mobility company serving the New York City area, seeks a Dispatch Supervisor to oversee daily routing and dispatch operations within the transportation department. You will coordinate drivers, attendants, and vehicles, monitor route performance, respond to service disruptions, and ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of transportation, logistics, dispatch, or operations experience.
• One year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transportation operations, routing, and dispatch procedures.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to respond to after-hours operational emergencies when required.
• School bus transportation experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily routing and dispatch operations to ensure safe, on-time transportation.
• Coordinate drivers, attendants, and vehicles; monitor route performance.
• Respond to service interruptions and emergencies with contingency plans.
• Maintain dispatch records and documentation.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, maintenance, and customer service teams.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to dispatch staff.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, state, local, and company regulations.
