HD Supply in Massachusetts is seeking a Transportation Dispatcher to coordinate loading and dispatching of driver routes and oversee daily route planning. The role trains and supports drivers, monitors MVRs, and ensures compliance with DOT regulations.

A valid license and driving may be required, with occasional overnight travel. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in transportation, experience with wholesale distribution, and a clean driving record, including limited accidents and violations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience delivering merchandise using box truck or similar vehicle.
• 3+ years operating material handling equipment.
• No more than 2 minor accidents in past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years.
• Wholesale distribution experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the loading and dispatching of all driver routes.
• Oversees pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and internal policies.
• Conducts daily route planning and optimization for drivers.
• Serves as the primary contact for driver-related issues.
• Coaches and trains drivers on policies and procedures; provides feedback to management.
• Reviews order manifests to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Delivers customer orders within a service area and provides professional customer service.
