DHL Group is seeking aDispatch Supervisor for our Chicago facility. Lead a team of Dispatch Agents across P&D, drayage, and line-haul operations, ensuring efficient movement of shipments and compliance with safety standards.

You will organize daily activities, coach staff, and ensure training and policy adherence while maintaining high service levels and cost efficiency. This role requires 2–3 years in dispatch, strong freight knowledge, and a bachelor's or equivalent background.

Competenze

• 2–3 years of transportation experience in dispatch or operations supervision.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations.
• Strong negotiation, administrative, and organizational skills.
• Results-driven with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in a Collective Bargaining Unit environment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Organize, prioritize, and allocate day-to-day operational activities.
• Coach and mentor team members and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure comprehensive training for new employees and assign qualified personnel to support ongoing training; maintain dispatch office policy and SOP manuals.
• Ensure pickup and delivery requests are dispatched promptly and professionally to drivers and vendors.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of PODs and related timestamps.
• Manage driver communications, route issues, and adjust plans as appropriate.
• Monitor vendor performance and develop improvement plans.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
• Proactively manage and align with customer expectations.
• Uphold and promote Safety First culture.
