Job summary

Alstom is seeking a full-time onsite DOC Specialist in Los Angeles, CA to apply regulatory and mechanical expertise. You’ll work with operating crews, dispatch staff, and cross-functional teams to minimize in-service issues and keep trains moving.

You’ll develop risk assessments, review HSE procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while fostering continuous learning and operational resilience across the business.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Systems, or related field is required.
  • Experience or understanding of troubleshooting mechanical problems and providing technical guidance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance within transportation or engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise to resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Support operating crews in troubleshooting equipment problems.
  • Guide compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with dispatch center to optimize train cycles and minimize disruptions.

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and regulatory expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates.
You'll make a significant impact by minimizing the effects of mechanically related “in-service” issues on the traveling public. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (operating crews, dispatch center staff), provide technical assistance and guidance to crew members troubleshooting mechanical problems, support the development of Risk Assessments, review HSE processes and procedures to ensure compliance, and much more."

Compensation: $69k - 90k
