Alstom in Kanona, NY is seeking a full-time Mechanical Design Engineer to develop 3D models, create design annotations, and manage BOMs for renovation and overhaul projects.
You will work with cross-functional teams, perform design reviews, and ensure manufacturability and serviceability while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is a bonus.

Take on a new challenge and apply your mechanical engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering technical solutions for rolling stock renovation and overhaul projects, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and train system requirements. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (such as operations and maintenance sites, as well as design teams), prepare and document mechanical design reviews, and provide technical support to production teams and customers, among other responsibilities.
You’ll specifically take care of developing 3D models, design annotations, and bills of materials, but also ensure quality checks for supplier and sub-contractor designs.
