Job summary

Mill Creek Lumber & Supply Company is seeking a reliable Dispatcher at the MCL Jones Lumber Yard in Jones, OK. This full-time position oversees delivery and pickup coordination, schedules drivers, and optimizes routes to ensure timely service and efficient operations.

The role requires clear communication with customers, drivers, and sales teams, and collaboration with the Operations Manager to resolve routing issues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate components and merchandise for delivery or pickup, schedules and assigns deliveries, and maintains records related to delivery and customer receipt.
• Schedule, coordinate, and dispatch drivers for daily deliveries and pickups across multiple locations and job sites.
• Adjust schedules proactively based on changes in orders, job site readiness, weather conditions, or equipment availability.
• Optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency, reduce fuel costs, and maximize driver productivity.
• Communicates delivery ETAs, changes, or delays clearly and professionally and promptly, while also handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in the same manner.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery inquiries from customers, drivers, sales teams, and yard staff.
