Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Dispatch Manager to lead delivery operations across drivers and dispatchers, ensure safe vehicle operation, and optimize routing and inventory coordination. The role reports to the Warehouse/Operations team and partners with Inside Sales to resolve delivery issues.

Candidates should have 7+ years of supervisory experience and a proven track record in distribution logistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in distribution/logistics.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, and supervising Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Experience with routing software and DOT driver safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with safety standards.
• Routes drivers effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Maintains vehicle fleet and coordinates with Warehouse for inventory controls.
• Collaborates with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues.

A Dispatch Manager at White Cap…

• Manages, recruits, and hires all Delivery Drivers and Dispatchers.
• Ensures delivery trucks are loaded and operated in compliance with all safety standards.
• Ensures Drivers are routed effectively to meet planned and unplanned delivery commitments.
• Ensures vehicle fleet is properly maintained.
• Minimizes turn-around times through direct supervision of Drivers.
• Works with Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless integration of Delivery and Warehouse operations and proper inventory controls.
• Works closely with Inside Sales and Account Managers to resolve delivery issues, reroute trucks and make unplanned vendor pickups.
• Develops and maintains expert knowledge of the branch delivery area geography.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 7+ years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience
• Experience with routing software.
• Experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs.
