Job summary

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc in Milwaukee is seeking a Dispatch & Logistics Associate to provide administrative support to the Dispatch and Logistics functions of the branch. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package in a casual office environment.

The role requires trucking and dispatch experience, crane setup knowledge, and familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations. You will maintain records, ensure on-time crane deliveries, and assist with permits, while

Qualifications

• Experienced in trucking and dispatch functions.
• Rigging knowledge for crane setup/teardown is preferred.
• Knowledge of permitting for oversize loads.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment requiring 40-hour weeks plus overtime.
• Able to sit for long periods and operate a phone, computer and office equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; basic safety and regulatory compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records, logs, and schedules for calls, vehicles, equipment, and actions.
• Ensure on-time delivery of cranes and support equipment to job sites.
• Maintain files for Safety compliance, DOT/FMCSA, and insurance.
• Secure permits, escorts, and flagmen for oversize loads.
• Ensure drivers comply with HOS and safety regulations.
• Monitor routes and status of field units to coordinate schedules.
• Assist with annual tag acquisitions (IRP, IFTA).
• Perform other clerical/administrative duties as needed by Branch Manager.

Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, Inc, located in Milwaukee, is seeking a Dispatch & Logistics Associate to provide Administrative support to the Dispatch and Logistics functions of the branch. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with comprehensive benefits package in a casual office environment.

Essential Functions

• They keep records, logs, and schedules of the calls they make and/or receive, the vehicle and equipment they monitor and control, and the actions they take.
• They ensure on time delivery of cranes and support equipment to job sites.
• Maintaining correct files for Safety compliance, DOT/FMCSA regulations and Insurance requirements.
• Secure permits, escorts, and flagmen.
• Ensure company drivers maintain compliance with HOS and safety regulations.
• Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate and prioritize their schedule.
• Assist with annual tag acquisitions. (IRP Apportion tags / IFTA) .
• Will also assist in other clerical and administrative duties as assigned by Branch Manager.

Skills and Experience Requirements
