Merchants Distributors, Inc. (MDI) is seeking an Administrative Dispatch Support professional to assist the Transportation team in ensuring timely and accurate delivery execution.

You will help with dispatch duties, driver communication, scheduling updates, and documentation while complying with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role requires flexibility for varied shifts and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, or administrative support preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispatching drivers by preparing trip paperwork and instructions.
• Communicate route assignments and schedule changes to drivers.
• Monitor delivery progress and coordinate with drivers, stores, and management.
• Update schedules and adjust as directed by leadership.
• Maintain dispatch logs and transportation documentation.
• Enter driver and trip data into internal systems.
• Support timely load execution with warehouse teams.
• Provide training support for dispatch systems and processes.
• Handle routine inquiries and escalate when needed.
