Job summary

Core-Mark seeks a Dispatcher to coordinate delivery operations, communicating with drivers via computers, phones or radios and assigning drivers to trucks to ensure on‑schedule departures and arrivals.

You will answer driver inquiries, help avoid traffic delays, and keep customers and vendors informed in a professional, timely manner. This role supports the company’s food distribution network with dependable, accurate dispatching.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6+ months of administrative experience (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, etc).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Dispatchers keep track of the progress drivers make along their route by using available technology.
• Check drivers in and out of terminals and transfer the trip records into a company's files.
• Communicate with drivers on a daily basis, but must handle any requests and complaints from customers.
• Calculate miles for all trucks.
• Determine travel and route times so that delivery costs can be accurately determined.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
