The Regional Dispatch Coordinator I is a member of a regional execution team responsible for providing best in class scheduling, loading support, and inventory management of Mansfield’s FTL deliveries. This role maintains inventory‑managed tanks at acceptable fuel levels, schedules deliveries to customers in the most optimal and efficient manner, maximizes assets, and aligns with the defined business strategy. It supports Mansfield’s Supply team’s procurement strategy and carrier loading needs, adjusting to market conditions.
Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Actively monitor designated customer’s tank readings
- Plan deliveries based on current fuel level and average daily usage
- Monitor market direction and adjust delivery time to manage customer fuel needs with the company’s best purchasing opportunities
- Document specific customer inventory requests
Logistics Coordination
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage FTL freight from terminal groups to customer locations
- Build strong relationships with carriers to create profitable freight coordination
- Implement terminal group sourcing adjustments based on arbitrage opportunities
- Make decisions efficiently and independently within established guidelines
- Obtain secondary options when carriers decline or cannot meet delivery requirements
- Support timely resolution of issues
- Complete daily load confirmations with no exceptions
- Complete daily delivery confirmations with no exceptions
Supply Execution Support
- Support carrier phone calls and emails to provide loading direction efficiently and professionally, based on established thresholds
- Implement supply strategy set by optimization software and market opportunities
- Coordinate with Supply regarding contract compliance
- Review and address carrier lifting accuracy
Other Duties as Assigned
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks as required to support operations
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of prior experience in dispatching or supply chain preferred
- Petroleum experience preferred
- Confident skills with Microsoft Office suite
