Job summary

Basin Harbor is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to keep our lakeside kitchen clean and organized while supporting the culinary team during busy periods.

Responsibilities include sanitizing dishes and equipment, maintaining a steady supply of clean wares, and assisting with basic food prep and inventory tasks. Shift work may include evenings and weekends; ability to lift up to 20 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding the need for proper etiquette and service standards.
• Prior cleaning or dishwashing experience preferred.
• Able to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Attention to detail, efficient, and able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and follow safety data sheet instructions for potentially hazardous products.

Dishwashers and Kitchen Helpers are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by sanitizing all dishes, glassware, and cooking equipment. They support the culinary team by ensuring a steady supply of clean wares, especially during high-volume periods. They also help with food preparation and inventory organization.

Requirements

Some essential competencies are: Understanding the need for proper etiquette and service standards, prior cleaning or dishwashing experience preferred, able to take direction and work in a team environment, attention to detail, efficient, and able to perform multiple tasks systematically in a fast paced environment, ability to read and follow safety data sheet instructions for potentially hazardous products used in daily work. Employees must maintain a clean, well kept, professional appearance. As well, shift work may be long and varied, including evening and weekends, required full-shift walking and standing. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. frequently throughout shift.

Salary

$16 - $17 per hour
