Job summary

Liberty Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced dishwasher to join our dining services team in Wellington, Florida. You will maintain cleanliness of the dish room, kitchen and food preparation areas, and ensure compliance with state regulations and facility policies.

Responsibilities include operating dish machines, washing pots and pans, stocking dishes, assisting with catered events, and supporting the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of kitchen/culinary food service experience; healthcare or senior dining preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work with diverse staff and residents.
• Works well as an individual and as part of the dining services team.

• Assist with setup and breakdown for catered events.

• Perform daily tasks per facility and departmental policies.
• Handle chemicals, trash, and mopping.

Job Summary:

• Responsible for cleaning of the dish room, kitchen, and food preparation areas in compliance with state and local regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.
• Primarily works in the kitchen areas, and is responsible for utilizing automated dish machines, manually washing pots and pans and stocking clean dishes, glassware and silverware.
• Assists with setup and break down for catered events.
• Ensures sanitation of dining rooms, including private dining room, community room, and activity room.
• Follows recipes and food production schedules based on resident census.
• Looks for and reports any items in need of repair to the Executive Chef.
• Performs all daily tasks in accordance with established facility and departmental policies and procedures.
• Additional responsibilities include working with chemicals, emptying trashcans and mopping.

Job Requirements:

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Minimum of one year of experience working within a kitchen/culinary food service operation, preferably in a healthcare or senior dining, or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• The ability to work with a variety of staff and residents with differing values, attitudes, capabilities, and dispositions.
• Requires an ability to work effectively as an individual player of the dining services team as well as part of the community wide team.
