Job summary

Liberty Senior Living in Wilmington, NC is seeking an experienced dishwasher to support our dining services. You will clean the dish room, kitchen, and food preparation areas, operate automated dish machines, and stock dishes, glassware and silverware according to policies.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of kitchen or healthcare food service experience; you will work with a team to follow recipes, sanitation standards and participate in catered events.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and production schedules based on resident census.
• Report maintenance needs to Executive Chef; follow safety and sanitation procedures.

• Responsible for cleaning of the dish room, kitchen, and food preparation areas in compliance with state and local regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.
• Primarily works in the kitchen areas, and is responsible for utilizing automated dish machines, manually washing pots and pans and stocking clean dishes, glassware and silverware.
• Assists with setup and break down for catered events.
• Ensures sanitation of dining rooms, including private dining room, community room, and activity room.
• Follows recipes and food production schedules based on resident census.

• Performs all daily tasks in accordance with established facility and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma.
• Minimum of one year of experience working within a kitchen/culinary food service operation, preferably in a healthcare or senior dining, or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
• The ability to work with a variety of staff and residents with differing values, attitudes, capabilities, and dispositions.
• Requires an ability to work effectively as an individual player of the dining services team as well as part of the community wide team.
