Job summary

Turnberry Ocean Colony is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Steward to join our Culinary department in Sunny Isles Beach, FL. You will keep dishware, equipment, and back-of-house spaces spotless while supporting a fast-paced kitchen team.

Responsibilities include sanitation, organization, and timely reporting of maintenance issues. The role offers full-time hours with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement matching, life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, and an employee meal

Qualifications

• Food Safe certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in a clean workspace.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while staying organized.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, safety, and food-service standards.
• Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills, especially with chefs and service staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all dishes, equipment, cookware, and small wares are cleaned, sanitized, polished, and ready for use.
• Operate dish machines and hand-wash delicate or specialty items as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish stations, sinks, prep areas, storage shelves, and back-of-house spaces.
• Ensure refrigerators and storerooms are cleaned, organized, and maintained daily.
• Remove trash, break down boxes, and handle recycling according to property guidelines.
• Follow all sanitation, safety, and chemical-handling standards, upholding a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with all kitchen team members to keep operations running smoothly.
• Promptly report any maintenance or equipment issues.
