The LINE DC is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Steward to support the Executive Sous Chef in a fast-paced hotel kitchen. You will be responsible for dishwashing, utensil preparation, and maintaining a clean, sanitary environment to ensure smooth service for guests and staff.

Competenze

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of related hospitality or service experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware and utensils and load the dish machine.
• Stack and carry clean dishes to the line and storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dishwashing area.
• Monitor dishwashing cycles and report any temperature or safety issues.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the dishwashing station and related duties.

We are seeking Dishwasher/Steward to join our team. A successful candidate will have a genuine passion for the hospitality industry and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The Role…

We are looking for Dishwasher/Steward to support and report directly into the Executive Sous Chef. This is a fast-moving business, so we are looking for the right individual to be autonomous and be able to pick up multiple tasks and projects at once.

Our culture is pacey but supportive, so you must be able to work in synergy with your peers and the different departments around you. Being an active communicator who is a team player and detail-oriented is a must to ensure a uniquely brilliant culinary experience is received by members and guests.

Essential Functions

1. Must be courteous and gracious, always maintaining a professional demeanor.
2. Establish and maintain effective communication and teamwork with fellow colleagues and other departments within the hotel.
3. Offer guests an enjoyable experience that conforms to the hotel’s standards of excellence, professionalism, and friendliness.
4. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish or glass machine.
5. Sort and stack clean dishes.
6. Carry clean dishes to the line and other proper storage areas.
7. Change dishwater in dish machine three times per shift or as needed.
8. Pick up dirty pans and pots from the line through service, wash, dry and then restock items on the line.
9. Wash cooking equipment by hand in 3-bay sink.
10. Bring trash and garbage to dumpster once per day shift and twice per night shift or as needed and sweep trash around dumpster and receiving area.
11. Set up or break down dishwashing area. All extra duties of rinsing, polishing, and desliming the machine.
12. Sweep mop floors twice a shift or as needed to keep the kitchen, stairs, dry storage, walk-in coolers and the line clean and sanitary.
13. Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean.
14. Notify manager when dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperature.
15. Never touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first
16. Check assigned stations and follow attached duties that are assigned to the dish station.
17. Maintain an increased awareness of safety issues throughout the hotel.
18. Participate in scheduled departmental and administrative meetings as requested.
19. Adhere to all standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, and verbal instructions!
20. Be familiar with all safety and emergency procedures including OSHA requirements.
