Wage Scale

$16.50 - $30 per hour. This position is eligible for tips.

This position will earn a base hourly rate between $16.50/hour and $30.00/hour and will be eligible to participate in our company tip pool. Our tip pool distributions fluctuate, and we cannot guarantee a certain distribution. However, on average, employees in this same position may make between $3.00and $6.00in tips per hour.

As aDishwasher/Steward, you are an integral part of the kitchen team’s overall success. The guest experience starts and ends with you. In this role, youare responsible forupholding a pristine dining environment andmaintaininga safe and sanitary workplace. This role is fast-paced and demanding, but you stay ahead by being efficient andanticipating your team’s needs.

Duties

  • Set up, clean, polish, and break down the dish machine; change the dishwater periodically.
  • Wash dishes, cutlery, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and other equipmentthen stock and organize to their designated areas.
  • Exercise required sanitation practices for dish handling bymaintainingthe dish area in a clean, sanitary, and safe mannerwhilecomplying withall required food handling and workplace safety procedures.
  • Monitor the dish machine to ensure wash and rinse cycles do not fall below safety standard temperatures.
  • Ensure the temperatures and ppm levels of sanitizers in the dish machine and sinks alwayscomply withhealth code.
  • Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties to set your team up for successand support the kitchen team as needed.
  • Follow all instructions and guidelines for safe usage ofkitchen equipment and cleaning compounds. Report anyequipment problems and maintenance issues to leadershipimmediately.
  • Follow all food service and handling safety precautions and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have or be able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler permits.
  • Possess a passion for hospitality and a proventrack recordof creating world-class hospitality experiences.
  • Thrive in adynamic,fast-paced work environment.
  • Be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, and stretching; repetitive manual tasks; and lift and carry up to 50lbs.
