Job summary

Atria Senior Living Willow Glen is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to maintain the kitchen and dining areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. You will wash, sanitize, and store dishes and equipment while supporting daily dining operations.

Provide courteous, high-level customer service to residents, work with culinary leadership to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs, and assist with event meals and special programs.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and dining areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Provide a high level of customer service and promote a restaurant-style dining atmosphere.
• Work with the Director of Culinary Services to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Wash and store dishes and equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies; assist cooks and wait staff as requested.
• Follow quality and food safety standards; assist with events, banquets, and theme meals.
