Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a friendly Dishwasher to uphold the hygiene of the kitchen and dining room, transport, sanitize, and clean all dishes, utensils, and tables after meals while maintaining health standards. They are responsible for ensuring safety and sanitation across the dining and kitchen areas.

You will assist in other dining tasks, support cooks, and help keep our kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ServSafe certificate preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit may be required by state.
• Prior work in restaurant or food services kitchen or dish room preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older with ability to work legally.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and organize dish storage and washing areas in accordance with all community safety and department policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize all dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using dish machines or manual cleaning methods, adhering to health and sanitation standards.
• Complete general cleanup and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, including sinks, washing machines, tables, ranges, shelves, and floors.
• Maintain the dish machine and sinks, including checking detergent levels and reporting issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Ensure water temperatures support optimum cleaning, rinsing, and sanitizing.
• Maintain sanitizer logs for temperature and level, recording at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
• Transport meals to the CFL neighborhood, maintaining correct temperatures, and return carts to the kitchen promptly.
• Assist cooks with basic food preparation and service to residents as needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and follow SDS guidelines.
• Promote safety and comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
