Job summary

Clarendale of Mokena, managed by LCS, seeks a part-time dishwasher available every other weekend to support a warm dining atmosphere for seniors. Our team values exceptional service and a friendly, energetic culture that makes a real difference in residents’ lives.

The role focuses on cleanliness, proper dish handling, and table setup, while upholding dining standards and courteous service for residents and families. Starting pay is $16.00/hour with a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school
• Experience in food service work preferred
• Experience in working with seniors preferred

Responsibilities

• Exemplify community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization
• Adhere to food quality, appearance and presentation standards
• Maintain dining room appearance and presentation standards
• Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
• Set tables and maintain work stations; take orders, provide service and answer questions
• Clear dishes, assist with dish washing, and reset tables
• Serve residents with proper serving etiquette and hospitality
• Represent community in a warm and inviting manner
• Support strategies to drive top-line revenue and occupancy

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Exemplify at all times Community standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization.
• Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance and presentation standards at all times.
• Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times.
• Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Set tables and maintain work stations in proper order. Take order, provide service and requested items both graciously and courteously. Answer pertinent questions about menu items.
• Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with dish washing, and reset tables.
• Serve residents using proper serving etiquette and promote an inviting dining atmosphere.
• Knowledge of diets provided and served correctly per Policy and Procedure.
• Represent community in a warm and inviting manner, which creates a positive marketing environment.
• Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Minimum completion of sophomore year in high school required
• Experience in food service work preferred
• Experience in working with seniors preferred
