Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining high sanitation standards to minimize foodborne illness and cross-contamination, following set procedures for washing dishes, pots, pans, and proper storage.

Primary Responsibilities

• Set up dishwashing and pot sink area for service.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans during service, then return to storage.
• Maintain weekly cleaning schedules.
• Dispose of trash, boxes, cans, and bottles properly.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-in refrigerators, and dining areas.
• Wash floor mats.
• Ensure sanitation standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and cross-contamination.
• Follow set closing procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift objects of 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions

• Handle hot liquids, toxic or flammable substances, requiring safety precautions.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Work in extreme heat conditions.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to Cook, Sous Chef, Dietary Coordinator, or Food Service Director.
