Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining high sanitation standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and cross-contamination by following established procedures for washing dishes, pots, pans, and proper storage.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Set up dishwashing and pot sink areas for service.
2. Wash dishes, pots, and pans during service, then return to storage.
3. Maintain weekly cleaning schedules.
4. Dispose of trash, boxes, cans, and bottles properly.
5. Sweep and mop kitchen floors, walk-in refrigerators, and dining areas.
6. Wash floor mats.
7. Ensure sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas to prevent foodborne illnesses.
8. Follow set closing procedures.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

• Handling hot liquids, toxic or flammable substances, requiring safety precautions.
• Working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Working in extreme heat conditions.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to the Cook, Sous Chef, Dietary Coordinator, or Food Service Director.
