Terrain Café in Wayland, MA is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to keep dishes, tools, and kitchen equipment clean in a fast-paced environment. This role supports the back-of-house team and helps maintain safety, organization, and efficient kitchen operations.

You will handle washing, storing dishware, assist with deliveries and prep during slower periods, and comply with cleanliness standards. Must be able to lift, stand for long periods, and work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen with focus on cleanliness.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for long periods.
• Reliable, punctual and a positive team member.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machines and sanitize all dishes and equipment.
• Wash, organize and store dishware properly.
• Handle dishes safely to avoid breakage.
• Monitor machine performance and report issues.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish pit, floors and prep stations.
• Remove trash and recyclables; keep dumpster area tidy.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks like scrubbing sinks and ovens.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and organized.
• Support kitchen by assisting with deliveries and prep.
• Stay productive during slower periods with high cleanliness standards.
• Take direction from chefs and managers as needed.
