Job summary

Shamin Hotels in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Dishwasher and General Utility to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, glassware and kitchen utensils. You will help keep the dishwashing area and stockrooms organized, supporting a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.

The role requires teamwork, strong attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly including nights, weekends and holidays. Training and opportunities to grow within the Food & Beverage department are provided.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash items by hand as needed (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china).
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment properly.
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
• Ensure sufficient clean dishes during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary.
• Check washing machines’ operation and report issues.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area including the floor.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
