Job summary

Whiskey Cake – La Cantera in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Dishwasher to ensure a smooth flow of clean dishes and maintain a tidy kitchen. You’ll work with the kitchen and restaurant team to support service during busy periods.

Responsibilities include operating the dishwasher, handling tableware and cookware, and adhering to health and safety standards. A Food Handler's Certification is required; EOE notice applies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Stand for long periods.
• Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Properly use a knife and other equipment required to execute necessary tasks.
• Maintain a current Food Handler's Certification and practice proper sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Set up/break down dishwashing machine; wash all tableware, silverware, pots, and pans promptly.
• Keep dishwashing area clean and dry.
• Monitor water temperatures and chemical levels in the dishwasher.
• Rewash items as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Store all clean china, glassware, silverware, and small wares properly.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and work environment.
• Follow health and safety regulations and ensure current Food Handler's Certification.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and wear proper uniform.
• Communicate with team and management in a positive, cooperative manner.
