Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Potomac, MD is seeking a Kitchen Utility Associate (Dishwasher) to ensure our culinary team has clean pots and dishware for resident meals. You will support the kitchen and maintain hygiene in a busy community dining program.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a Food Handler Card is a plus. We value reliability, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work flexible shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Food Handler Card is a plus.
• 6–12 months in dishwasher or kitchen support is a plus, not required.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environments desirable.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure all cleaned items are properly dried and stored.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dishwashing area (sweeping/mopping).
• Remove trash, recycling, and food waste to keep the kitchen organized.
• Clean mats and garbage pails.
• Sanitize food prep surfaces, storage areas, and equipment as needed.
• Support kitchen staff by replenishing supplies and equipment.
• Replenish chemicals, towel dispensers, and soap dispensers for sanitary operations.
