Job summary

Rancho Santa Fe Association is seeking a dishwasher/steward for the newly renovated restaurant. The role ensures all dishes and kitchenware are cleaned and stored properly and supports a clean, organized kitchen according to the cleaning schedule.

Responsibilities include washing by machine or hand, cleaning surfaces, monitoring supplies, disposing of waste, inspecting equipment, and following food safety regulations. Must have a food handler certificate and be able to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to thoroughly clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces and equipment.
• Stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Work effectively with other kitchen staff and follow cleaning schedules.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations; must have food handlers certificate.

Responsibilities

• Washing dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Thoroughly cleaning all kitchen surfaces, stoves, ovens, refrigerators and floors.
• Monitor supplies, restock as needed and report shortages.
• Create and follow a cleaning schedule for the kitchen.
• Dispose of food waste and debris and inspect equipment.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and report issues to the kitchen manager.
