Job summary

Svih Management in Santa Monica is seeking a full-time dishwasher to maintain cleanliness of dishware and kitchen areas, operate the dishwashing machine to specification, and assist in washing pots, pans and utensils. Adherence to OSHA regulations and health standards is essential, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

You will help prepare workstations, monitor supplies, and ensure proper storage of cleaned wares while supporting efficient service during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team and lead staff if required.
• Willingness to work 8–10 hour shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of policies and standards; use equipment correctly.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas.
• Set up workstation with supplies; report shortages.
• Use appropriate cleaning chemicals following OSHA regulations.
• Replenish supplies throughout the shift and manage stock.
• Check dishwashing machine performance; adjust chemicals and temperatures as needed.
• Organize breakdown area for dirty wares; load dishwashing machine when full.
• Inspect cleaned wares; rewash if not meeting standards; store properly.
