Job summary

The Union League of Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our Stewarding team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will perform dishwashing, cleaning, stock rotation, and maintain orderly work areas to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, maintaining floors, using hand trucks as needed, and assisting with daily cleaning tasks. Must be able to lift 25 lbs and stand for long periods while complying with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to constantly go up and down stairs throughout the day.
• Bending and lifting required.

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwasher or by hand
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
• Sweep and scrub floors
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks
• Maintain trash room area, keep it in a clean and orderly condition
• Perform routine cleaning of kitchen space including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, trash removal, moving dirty pots and pans and stocking clean equipment
• Perform daily sweep and mop of 1862 kitchen at 3pm
• Other duties TBD.
