Fitler Club LLC in Philadelphia is seeking a Utility Steward to perform kitchen cleaning, storage, and prep duties, including dishwashing, pot washing, and maintaining sanitary standards throughout the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including the dish washing machine and pot-scrubbing station.
• Wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock.
• Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas.
• Use detergent, rinsing, and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink to clean pots and pans.
• Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items; send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washing.
• Rack and spray all racked items with hot water to remove residue.
• Sort, soak, and wash/re-wash silverware.
• Breakdown dirty bus tubs.
• Empty and maintain trash cans and dumpster area.
• Clean and mop all areas in assigned outlet.
• Break down boxes and recyclables; use recycle bin.
• Assist chef with prep tasks as assigned (fries, dressings, veg prep).
• Perform all other duties as directed by Chef de Cuisine/Sous Chefs.
