Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a dishwashing/kitchen support team member in Los Angeles, CA. The role focuses on washing, sanitizing, and maintaining the kitchen area while supporting store operations and customer service.

You will follow health and safety regulations, work in a fast-paced environment, and be part of a team dedicated to Whole Foods Market standards and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
• Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Washes, rinses, and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares.
• Maintains cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area.
• Assists with kitchen deliveries including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.
• Follows procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; maintains equipment per cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing; reports safety hazards.
