Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is hiring for a Back-of-House role in California. This hourly, non-exempt position offers benefits and paid time off after 90 days.

Expect shift-based duties in a fast-paced kitchen, with opportunities for growth through the Shift Leader program and a hospitable culture. Qualifications include 1+ year BOH experience in a full-service restaurant, English/Spanish bilingual preference, ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and endurance to stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• 1+ year BOH experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Walk and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Keeps dishwashing areas organized to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Manages tasks to maintain kitchen workflow.
• Follows all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Restocks kitchen and cooking line as needed.
• Performs routine cleaning of the kitchen and assists with general cleaning tasks.
• Operates dish machine and handles water/chemicals safely.
• Keeps floors clean and dry.
• Ensures proper washing, sanitizing and storage of dishes and smallware.
• Inspects receiving/prep/storage areas for health and safety compliance.
• Supports other restaurant areas as needed.
