Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Dishwasher to support kitchen and facility operations at Northern Arizona University. You’ll help maintain cleanliness and sanitation across food production and service areas, handling equipment, utensils, floors, and storage spaces.

You may assist with setup and breakdown as directed and adapt to account-specific requirements. There is an emphasis on reliability, ability to lift up to 35 pounds (sometimes 50), and willingness to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• No prior work experience required.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and basic food safety concepts.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or uses a dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweep, mop, clean, and vacuum floors; remove trash to designated areas.
• Clean equipment with appropriate chemicals to meet sanitary standards.
• Restock supplies like soap, towels, and cleaning materials.
• Maintain mobility and safety during shifts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds (50 pounds occasionally).
• Attend shifts on time; perform other duties as assigned.
