Job summary

Trapper's Sushi is seeking a dependable dishwasher to keep our kitchen clean and compliant with health regulations. You will wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and cookware, while assisting the kitchen during busy shifts.

The role offers $17.50 per hour, with medical insurance after eligibility, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for advancement in a growing restaurant group.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, steam, and wet conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler's Card required (or willing to obtain within first 14 days of employment).
• Prior dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware and dishes from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load, operate, and unload dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Wash large or delicate items by hand as needed.
• Ensure clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools are properly sanitized and stocked.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when stock is low.
• Inspect and report issues with dishwashing equipment or kitchen sanitation concerns.
• Remove garbage and recyclables according to company procedures and OSHA standards.
• Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation procedures.
• Support kitchen staff during peak service times.
