Job summary

PopStroke in San Antonio is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to keep the kitchen running smoothly, turning suds into smiles and helping our chefs shine.

Pay rate: $16-$18 per hour; role type: non-exempt; weekend/holiday availability required. You’ll load and unload the dishwasher, maintain cleanliness, assist with deliveries and basic prep, and collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain an efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwasher or kitchen steward experience in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dishwasher with utensils, glassware, cookware, plates, and trays in a fast and efficient manner.
• Ensure all dishes are clean and sanitized before putting them away on dish racks.
• Maintain the dishwasher area to keep it clean, organized, and at peak performance.
• Mop and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, and dining room hallways; remove trash at shift end.
• Sanitize work areas and adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Assist with deliveries and basic food preparation tasks.
• Safely operate a trash compactor and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow and communication.
• Other duties as assigned.
