Job summary

New Hampshire Veterans Home is hiring a Dishwasher to operate the dish room and maintain sanitation of kitchen equipment in support of dietary services. This hands-on role keeps the kitchen running safely and smoothly and directly supports the team preparing meals for veteran residents.

The role involves operating dishwashing equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Operate a dishwasher and/or food disposal unit.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and push carts.
• Stand for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Prior food service/dish room experience preferred, but not required.
• Flexibility to work indoors and/or outdoors depending on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and/or food disposal equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment.
• Clean and sanitize floors, prep surfaces, and the dish room area per protocol.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic prep or cleaning tasks as needed.
• Maintain a safe, organized dish room work area.

Help keep our veterans fed — and our kitchen running.

Mfinite Consulting is hiring Dishwashers to support dietary services at the New Hampshire Veterans Home. You'll operate the dish room, keep kitchen equipment sanitized, and play a hands-on role in making sure every meal for our veteran residents comes from a clean, safe kitchen.

Shifts Available

• 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 10:30 AM – 7:15 PM
  
  
  

What You'll Do

• Operate dishwasher and/or food disposal equipment safely and efficiently
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment
• Clean and sanitize floors, prep surfaces, and the dish room per facility protocols
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep or cleaning tasks as needed
• Keep the dish room area safe, organized, and sanitary
• Support the dietary team with other kitchen/sanitation duties as assigned

Before You Start: Screening & Compliance Per NHVH contract requirements, all candidates must complete the following before their start date:

• Criminal background check (National Criminal Records Check or NH Release of Criminal Record Authorization)
• BAAS State Registry check
• OIG Exclusion List screening at hire, with monthly re-screening thereafter
• Annual Conviction Disclosure Attestation
• Fitness-for-duty attestation, and physical/drug testing where applicable
