Qualifications

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Certification in food services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines.
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook.
• Help with basic food preparation under supervision, in compliance with safe handling.
• Maintains dishwashing areas and storage areas in clean condition.
• Cleans workspaces and serving equipment according to procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes.
• Uses supplies efficiently to prevent waste.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook to meet residents' needs.
• Attends in-service education and applies information to tasks.
• Complies with privacy laws and other state/federal requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Dishwasher will handle basic food preparation, washing dishes, pots and pans, equipment cleaning, kitchen sanitation in accordance with Traditions, Inc. and Health Department regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receives, collects soiled dishes; washes dishes according to sanitary guidelines and rules;
• Cleans equipment as assigned by chef or cook;
• Help with basic food preparation under direction of chef or cook as directed, in compliance with Safe food handling;
• Maintains dishwashing areas and dishware storage areas in clean condition at all times in accordance with rules and regulations and as directed by chef;
• Cleans workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays, and dishes according to department procedures.
• Loads and unloads the dishwasher; stores clean equipment and dishes in designated areas.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient manner to prevent waste.
• Uses food preparation equipment properly and follows proper cleaning techniques and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Communicates with Chef or Cook throughout the shift as needed to best meet needs of the residents.
• Attends in-service education as assigned and applies information to job tasks.
• Complies with the Community's Confidentiality and Privacy practices and procedures related to resident and employee records and all state/federal privacy laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dishwasher.
• Further experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Friendly with good communication skills
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in food services is a plus
