Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia is seeking a dedicated dishwashing assistant to support all food and beverage outlets. Under general supervision, you will wash pots, pans, utensils and maintain cleanliness of the dish area, equipment, and storage spaces.

Requirements include being at least 18, willingness to learn NM food handlers course, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and flexible schedule including weekends. Prior restaurant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Preferred: High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
• Experience in restaurant or food service capacity is a plus.
• Knowledge of Tribal, federal, state, and local sanitary regulations regarding the preparation, maintenance, storage and sales of food/drink products.

Responsibilities

• Wash pots, pans and utensils.
• Maintains cleanliness of dishwashing machine, dish/kitchen areas and workstation.
• Cleans and sanitize dish ware, floors, coolers, and freezers as necessary.
• Refills dishwasher chemicals as needed.
• Cleans storage racks as needed.
• Empties trash containers, thoroughly washes and replaces liners.
• Keeps area tidy and assists in proper food storage organization.
