Job summary

Provider Contract Food Service, located at Cal Baptist University in Riverside, CA, is seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join our culinary team. You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation of china, glassware, and utensils, operating both machine and manual cleaning methods in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include sorting, rinsing, stacking, maintaining safe temperatures, and supporting the dishwashing area.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial dishwashing preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes and place them in racks for machine washing.
• Stack clean dishes and transport to storage or cook line.
• Change dishwater hourly and maintain a clean dishwashing area.

Provider Contract Food Service specializes in providing culinary and hospitality excellence to our clients for the past 18 years. Our location at Cal Baptist University in Riverside, CA is currently looking to build our Food Service Team in the position of Dishwasher.

Summary

The dish and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glasses, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
• Change the dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
• Set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Clean and roll/unroll mats.
• Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep/mop floors.
• Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Do not touch dirty dishes before touching clean dishes without washing hands first.
• Other duties as directed.

Pay Range: $16.90-$18.00 per hour
