Little Hen in New York is seeking a reliable team member to handle dishwashing, hand washing of specialty items, and ensure a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils during peak hours.

You will maintain back room cleanliness, manage stock of detergents and cleaning supplies, and assist with receiving and allocating distributor orders.

This role is part of the kitchen support staff, requiring attention to detail and good teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dish washing machine
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness of back room, sweeping, mopping.
• Receive food orders from distributors and allocate them to where they go
