Job summary

Capistrano Senior Living in San Juan Capistrano, CA seeks a Dishwasher to support dining services and meal delivery for residents. This is an entry-level opportunity with on-the-job training and a path to grow within culinary services.

If you have a positive attitude and a desire to serve others, we will train you. The role includes assisting cooks, setting up meals, and maintaining clean, safe kitchen and dining areas for residents.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor/Cook as requested.
• Set up meal service and deliver meal trays.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety guidelines during prep and cleanup.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, and trays.

• Handle garbage following safety regulations.

Position Summary

Provide assistance and support in all food functions including preparation, processing, delivery to patients, etc. as directed/instructed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as requested
• Timely setting up of meal service, maintenance of food carts and delivery of meal trays
• Adheres to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean up
• Keeps work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize counter tops, wipe down storage areas, etc.)
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to the proper storage areas
• Collect and carry out garbage
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information
