Rose Senior Living Carmel is hiring a full-time Dishwasher to support our kitchen operations in San Diego area. The role involves operating all aspects of dishwashing and sanitation, ensuring clean, safe dishware and equipment for a high-standard dining environment.

The position offers a stable schedule with hourly pay of $18 to $19, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Responsibilities

• Operates dishwashing and sanitation functions to maintain kitchen standards.
• Keeps the dish machine properly set up and monitors temperatures.
• Washes and sanitizes china, glassware, flatware, and equipment; stores them correctly.
• Reports any problems with machinery or chemicals to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintains sanitation by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping floors and cleaning trash containers.
• Follows daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required.
• Ensures dish machine water is changed at regular intervals.
• Breaks down the dish machine and cleans jets, curtains, and station at end of day.
• Practices safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Reports safety or sanitation concerns to supervisor promptly.

Job Summary

The Dishwasher shall be responsible for operating all functions of dishwashing and sanitation and to maintain the sanitation standards of the kitchen.

Essential Job Duties:

• Ensures that the dish machine is properly set up.
• Ensures that the correct chemicals are in use at all times.
• Reports any problems with machinery or chemicals to a supervisor immediately.
• Washes and sanitizes china, glassware, flatware, all cooking and food preparation equipment, etc. at correct temperatures and stores them in proper locations.
• Monitors dish machine temperatures and records them daily. Reports all broken, damaged, or inoperable equipment to supervisor.
• Assists in maintaining proper sanitation by sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors; cleans trash containers and performs other related sanitation tasks.
• Follows and completes all duties on daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required.
• Ensures that the dish machine water is changed at regular intervals.
• Breaks down the dish machine and cleans the jets, curtains, and entire dishwashing station at the end of the day.
• Practices safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to the supervisor immediately.
