Job summary

Casa de las Campanas seeks a full-time Dishwasher to support our senior living community in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The role focuses on dishwashing duties, sanitation, and safety to maintain kitchen cleanliness and regulatory compliance.

The schedule is full-time with a rate of $18–$19 per hour and comprehensive benefits. You will operate the dishwashing area, monitor chemicals and temperatures, and uphold sanitation standards daily, contributing to a high-quality dining environment for residents

Qualifications

• Dishwasher experience or ability to operate dishwashing equipment
• Maintain sanitation standards in kitchen
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation policies

Responsibilities

• Ensure dish machine is properly set up
• Use correct chemicals and monitor temperatures
• Clean and sanitize china, glassware, and utensils
• Maintain sanitation by sweeping, scrubbing, mopping floors
• Follow daily sanitation and cleaning schedules
• Change dish machine water at regular intervals
• Break down and clean dishwashing station at day's end
• Handle food safely and report concerns immediately
• Pass background checks as required by facility

Job Summary The Dishwasher shall be responsible for operating all functions of dishwashing and sanitation and to maintain the sanitation standards of the kitchen.

Essential Job Duties

• Ensures that the dish machine is properly set up.
• Ensures that the correct chemicals are in use at all times.
• Reports any problems with machinery or chemicals to a supervisor immediately.
• Washes and sanitizes china, glassware, flatware, all cooking and food preparation equipment, etc. at correct temperatures and stores them in proper locations.
• Monitors dish machine temperatures and records them daily. Reports all broken, damaged, or inoperable equipment to supervisor.
• Assists in maintaining proper sanitation by sweeping, scrubbing and mopping floors; cleans trash containers and performs other related sanitation tasks.
• Follows and completes all duties on daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required.
• Ensures that the dish machine water is changed at regular intervals.
• Breaks down the dish machine and cleans the jets, curtains, and entire dishwashing station at the end of the day.
• Practices safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Reports any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to the supervisor immediately.

All Employees must be able to pass background checks (fitness for duty physical, fingerprinting, employment references) as required by a licensed residential care facility.
